Purpose Statement

We exist to lead and equip people to become fully-devoted followers of Christ.

We seek to fulfill this goal by focusing our attention on the five purposes of the church. These five purposes are revealed to us in two important passages of scripture.

The Great Commandment: Matthew 22:36-40

“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment. 39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

The Great Commission: Matthew 28:18-20

“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.’”

Therefore, we:

1.   Worship:        Celebrate God’s Presence

2.   Minister:         Demonstrate God’s Love

3.   Evangelize:   Communicate God’s Word

4.   Disciple:        Educate God’s People

5.   Fellowship:    Congregate as God’s Family
